A couple of weeks ago I attended The Reset Conference in Kentucky. I learned so much from so many amazing photographers and couldn't wait to put what I had learned to use. I decided to reach out to a family I had never met before. I wanted to see if I could take what I had learned about them in my new questionnaire and tell their story. It ended up being right on time, because the following week Joanna (mom) was having a pretty serious surgery. Joanna runs a blog called Motherhood and Merlot where she shares tips of motherhood, products she loves, and beauty products. Joanna has four amazing kids seven and under, which I thought would challenge me a little bit but they were seriously SO good. Joanna and her husband Mike were excellent. They spent the entire hour just being together as a family. I immediately learned that their oldest daughter Emmalee loved the camera. She loved modeling for me. Their middle daughter Gracelynn is their flower child. She had a flower in her hand or hair the majority of the session. Their youngest daughter Annabelle is all SASS. She kept us all laughing the entire session. If there was ever a moment of silence, Annabelle filled it with a little joke. Lastly, their son Oliver. Oliver was the sweetest little man. He was the shyest of the kids and a complete mama's boy. I can't wait to get them back in front of my camera. Enjoy some of my favorites from this sweet golden hour session.
